At 6 1/2 months, Finn is 27 1/2 inches & 17 1/2 pounds. He started to sit up and just this week, his bottom teeth popped through.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2009
It was a great Thanksgiving weekend- the first in our new city & new house! We started the day with a walk to breakfast/coffee. Olivia watched the parade on TV, where she saw all of her favorites- Buzz Lightyear, Dora and Yo Gabba Gabba. The Rubio's ( Bobby worked with Dean at Nickelodeon and now works at Pixar) came over in the late afternoon and we had a action packed dinner! On Friday, Olivia watched Snow White in her Snow White costume, and on Sunday night we got a christmas tree! To see all of the pictures from our weekend, click here.

Halloween 2009
We had a great Halloween! Olivia was a chicken (because we have 4 chickens that live next door) and Finn was a caterpillar (Olivia's costume 2 years ago). Finn is a little longer than Olivia was when she wore the costume, so it was a bit of a snug fit, but no complaining on his part. He went along for the walk, and Olivia climbed many steps to many front doors, said "trick or treat" and kept going "next house!". Amy & Kurt (the newlyweds stopped in Oakland on their way to Hawaii) stayed at home and passed out candy. When Olivia went to bed that night, she said "I had fun trick or treating". Pumpkin Patch
We went to a great pumpkin patch last weekend. Hay bale maze, corn pit, cow tractor ride, animals... and pumpkins! It was a fun fall day- except for the fact that it didn't quite feel like late October with weather in the 80's. To see the pictures, click here.

Finn's up!
Olivia gets really excited when Finn wakes up in the morning. She hears him start to make noise in his room and likes to go in there alone- so that he sees her first- then she lets me know when I can come in. She then asks to climb into bed with him, hugs and kisses him, and likes to lay under the blanket next to him. It is quite cute!

Dean's birthday

The little artist
Olivia has been REALLY into painting. At school last week, she requested to paint, so they brought out the paints for everyone on her behalf. Sometimes, she even goes into the 3 year olds room to do it. Here she is showing off a painting in the kitchen.
Jump around
I had been looking back on Olivia's blog to see what was happening when she was Finn's age and I saw that she was in the jumper. I put it together while they were napping and Finn went in it as soon as he got up. He thinks it is SO much fun, and Olivia loves when he is in it!
Success!
Olivia has been doing really good on the potty. She goes usually about 3 times a day on there (#1 & 2)and is rewarded with a mini popsicle (or "popsi" as she calls them) or a jelly bean (which she calls "black beans").
Arimo Ave. block party
This was the 25th year of the Arimo Ave. block party. When we moved into the house we heard about how fantastic it was and we were excited to be a part of it. It lived up to the hype- good food, great neighbors and perfect weather. By evening, it started to get breezy, so we all put warmer clothes on and sat around the fire at our neighbors house.
