Minneapolis
The kids & I spent 10 days in Minneapolis in August. We had such a fun time playing with the whole family, going to the state fair, going on the trolley rides and swimming in the pool. Finn got a double ear infection on the trip, but the sweet boy he is hardly complained until he hit is breaking point and we took him to urgent care to get medication. 5 year anniversary
For our 5 year anniversary, Dean and I were on the same gift wavelength. I got him an iPad and I got a new macBook. We went out for a fantastic & romantic dinner- finally trying some of Oakland's great restaurants. It has been a wonderful 5 years with 2 amazing kids to show for it!

Dollhouses, trains & more!
We met up with Layla, Killian & Asa and the Rosenblatts (who were in town) for some fun at a hobby shop & lunch.

Hike #2 (with new backpack)
We got a new hiking backpack, so now Dean's back doesn't kill him like it did with the ancient pack that was on it's last legs. We went with our neighbors, Melissa, Saul & Sadie and hiked through Redwood Regional Park. It was a cool foggy morning, but much warmer once you were down in the canyon. Finn got a little sick of being in the Ergo carrier and insisted Saul carry him. At the end of the hike, there were a hillside of goats keeping the grass & trees shorn.
